Dear Sisters of North Harris County Alumnae Chapter,
I come before you with a heart full of love for this chapter, a deep respect for our Delta legacy, and a clear vision for what our future can look like together. I am running for Chapter President on the L.E.V.E.L. U.P. platform because I believe in your potential, your brilliance, and your capacity to lead.
My presidency will be defined by one word: trust. I trust you to lead your committees with innovation and purpose. I will amplify your gifts. My role is to remove barriers, provide resources, offer support, and cheer you on as you do the work that makes Delta great.
COVID disrupted us. We lost connection. We lost some of our traditions. We lost the rhythm of sisterhood. It is time to find our way back, not just to chapter meetings, but to each other. My vision is to rebuild the bonds that make us more than a sorority. We are sisters.
My record of service speaks for itself and it demonstrates my unwavering commitment to our sisterhood and to North Harris County Alumnae Chapter. Backed by 42 years of Delta dedication, in the role of President, I will bring , my tenacity, and my determination to do whatever it takes to ensure our chapter remains thriving, impactful, and positioned for greatness today, tomorrow, and beyond.
Your voice matters to me and I don't just want your vote, I want your input. I would love to connect with you, hear your heart, and share my vision for what's next. Reach out at rlkdsst83@yahoo.com or call/text 832-878-4401. I am grateful for your trust and your support.
Let's LEVEL UP together and take North Harris County Alumnae Chapter to its next great chapter! Together, we will paint North Harris County RED!

Elevating every Soror, every voice, every vision within our chapter.

Ensuring every Soror feels seen, heard, and valued in this sisterhood.

A Chapter United by Vision, Driven by Purpose
A chapter that functions well is a chapter aligned. My vision for unity and purpose begins with ensuring that everything we do as a chapter connects to something bigger…Grand Chapter’s Strategic Plan, Grand Chapter's initiatives, and our mandate to serve.
Structural Alignment
• Review and update chapter procedures and programs as needed to align with the current Grand Chapter strategic plan
• Establish a living Chapter Calendar and Plan with annual goals and measurable outcomes
• Quarterly check-ins with ALL committee chairs, to create ongoing dialogue
• Executive Committee meetings held on a regular, planned schedule with clear agendas, creating channels of communication and accountability
• End-of-year chapter assessment: What did we accomplish? What do we carry forward? What do we release?
Face-to-Face. Real Connection. Delta Love
COVID created distance. Virtual meetings became the norm. And somewhere along the way, we stopped truly knowing each other. It is hard to be sisterly with someone you've never sat across from, laughed with, or served beside.
My vision is to bring our sorors back together…Literally. Through informal meetups organized in geographic fractals across our service area, sisters who live near each other will connect outside of chapter meetings in a relaxed, social setting. You cannot fake the bond that forms when you break bread with someone. That is Delta.
Sisterhood Initiatives
• Fractal-based meetups: Sisters organized by zip code or neighborhood will gather regularly for informal hangouts, coffee, brunch, park days, whatever fits the group
• Chapter traditions restored: We will intentionally revive the rituals and traditions that are the heartbeat of Delta
• New member integration: Intentional programming to connect newer members with chapter veterans
• Sisterhood spotlights at chapter meetings, celebrating individual sorors and their stories
• An annual Sisterhood Summit; a dedicated day just for us, no agenda except connection
A President Who Serves
My presidency will be rooted in servant leadership, a model where the President's greatest contribution is clearing the path so that others can lead well. Committee chairs will be trusted, resourced, and celebrated. I believe that when leaders feel genuinely supported, the whole chapter rises.
Committee leaders will have the autonomy to innovate, create, and execute programs that align with Grand Chapter's initiatives and our strategic plan. My pledge: I will be available, I will be supportive, and I will trust you.
What This Looks Like in Practice
Let's Paint North Harris County RED!
Imagine this: On one Saturday morning, across multiple locations in North Harris County, sorors wearing red are serving their community, simultaneously. The same kind of service. The same day. The same time. That is a statement. That is Delta showing up and showing out.
My vision is community service in fractals. This is coordinated service events organized by geographic area within our service boundaries. This approach allows us to be present in more neighborhoods, serve more people, and create a visual impact that cannot be ignored.
Service Strategy
• Fractal service days: Sorors in each area conduct the same service activity on the same day, creating a unified chapter presence across the county
• Community partner collaboration: Establish ongoing relationships with non-profits, schools, civic organizations, and faith communities for sustained impact
• D9 collaboration: Partner with other Divine Nine chapters for signature joint service initiatives
• Annual service calendar aligned with Grand Chapter's Five Point Programmatic Thrust
• Document and celebrate our impact through photos, statistics, and testimonials shared with the chapter and community
Quality Over Quantity
We have stretched ourselves thin trying to do everything. The result: burnout, low participation, and programs that don't reflect our full potential. It is time to be intentional.
My vision is fewer programs, but more meaningful ones. Every initiative we undertake will be purposeful, well-planned, and reflective of our Delta values. This philosophy also honors our time. I believe in purifying the atmosphere of the home. When chapter business is handled efficiently, our sorors can return home to their families, their rest, and their personal lives refreshed , not depleted.
Programming Philosophy
• Programs must align with at least one Grand Chapter initiative and our strategic plan
• Committees will have creative freedom to propose and design their own programs
• A chapter-wide program calendar created collaboratively at the beginning of the year
• Collaboration welcomed with other D9 organizations and community partners to maximize reach and minimize redundancy
A Bold Financial Vision for the Biennium
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is not just a name. This word Incorporated carries legal, fiduciary, and organizational weight. It means we are bound to operate with structure, accountability, and purpose. Our fundraising efforts must reflect that standard!
In honor of our 20th Year, my vision is to raise $20,000 over the next biennium to directly support Delta's Charitable Partners and do our part to fund Grand Chapter’s Sustainability Plan. This is not an aspiration, it is a commitment backed by strategy.
How We Will Get There
• Collaborate with our Fundraising Committee to design creative, community-facing campaigns
• Identify and pursue grant opportunities aligned with Delta's Five Point Programmatic Thrust
• Partner with local businesses, community organizations, and D9 chapters for collaborative fundraising events
• Leverage fractal community presence to host small-scale, high-impact fundraisers across our service areas
• 100% transparency: Every dollar raised and spent will be reported to the chapter regularly in the financial reports.
Where the Funds Go
• Delta Charitable Partners: Supporting the causes our Sorority has committed to nationally and locally
• Grand Chapter Sustainability Plan: Ensuring our donations support our commitment to sustainability projects on the National level.
Bringing Our Chapter into the Future
Our chapter's digital presence and internal systems need a refresh. A modern chapter deserves modern tools. My technology vision will make it easier for sorors to stay connected, engaged, and informed, no matter where they are.
Technology Priorities
• Website upgrade: Partner with a qualified web host to create a professional, updated chapter website that reflects our brand and mission
• Electronic Membership Directory: A secure, digital directory that sorors can access from any device
• Digital check-in system for chapter meetings
• Secure, simple and accessible online voting platform for monthly chapter votes
• Centralized communication platform for seamless correspondence between leadership and members
• Provide training to ensure all sorors feel confident using new tools
A Finance Table That Works for Our Sorors
Financial processes within our chapter should be clear, accessible, and supportive — never confusing or burdensome. My vision is to modernize and simplify how we handle Delta's financial business so that every soror knows exactly what is expected and how to fulfill their obligations with ease.
Financial Commitments
• Establish clear, written financial procedures accessible to all members
• Create a soror-friendly financial guide: dues schedules, payment options, and deadlines in plain language
• Regular financial reports on our website and presented at chapter meetings in a format that is easy to understand
• Annual budget developed with committee input to reflect actual chapter needs

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is exactly that... Incorporated. That single word defines how we are required to operate: with bylaws, parliamentary procedure, fiduciary responsibility, and adherence to Grand Chapter's governance structure. I understand this. I have studied it.
